Columbia Stand. Fair ISPO 2020
Columbia Sportswear Europe
Munich, Germany
Since its inception in 1970, ISPO – the largest trade fair of sports business – takes place once a year at Neue Messe München, Germany. For the latest edition of the fair, the well known company Columbia Sportswear partnered with Indissoluble for the design and production of their new stand.
Conceived as a large permeable black box, the exterior façade of the stand is made using Dibond – aluminum sandwich panel – triangles, cut performing CAD-CAM technology and assembled with joining pieces produced using the same technique and the same material. These geometric curtains allow to protect the interior of the stand and provide it with privacy, but it is open enough to be able to see the interior from any point.
The black exterior is only interrupted by blue geometric shapes, corporate color of the brand, which hold the logos of the company.
Inside the stand, three irregularly shaped podiums welcome the visitor. They show mannequins with the latest collections of the brand. Here the color changes into brushed aluminum, which also allows the light to play with the reflections. The rest of the elements of the stand – the main reception desk and the footwear furniture – use the same material.
The latter reflects in its forms the same as the collection that the brand presents.
